Gold Standard Award for Optimal Aging

 The Gold Standard Award for Optimal Aging celebrates and honors older adults who embody the Institute’s vision for a world where all older adults lead engaged and flourishing lives. This award is an Optimal Aging Month Signature Event and benefits the UofL Institute for Sustainable Health & Optimal Aging and their efforts to create an age-inclusive culture in our community. This award recognizes older adults who are 85 years or older and who are outstanding models of optimal aging in the following four categories: physical, social, spiritual and creative. Download this year's flyer here.

Nominate Before April 15th!

Nominations for this year's Gold Standard Award for Optimal Aging are open from February 1 - April 15, 2018. Awardees will be recognized at an award ceremony and luncheon during Optimal Aging Month, on September 7, 2018.

2018 Nomination Information 

  • Nominees must be 85 years by Sept. 1, 2018
  • Nominees should be outstanding model for optimal aging in one or more of the following areas: physical, spiritual, social, & creative
  • Strong nominees must exhibit current involvement in above categories
  • Nominations accepted online via website below from February 1- April 15, 2018
