Get Involved: A more compassionate city begins with you!

Here are a few ways you can help us measure compassion:

  • Take the Compassionate City Survey

  • Share the survey with friends, family, neighbors and coworkers
Everyone is invited to take the survey and we need your help to get the word out! Share the survey link on your social media account, email to your office, or bring it up at your next neighborhood meeting. Do you know someone who needs a paper copy? Call us at 502-852-5228 and we will get some to you.

  • Volunteer as a zip code captain
Is there low participation in the zip code where you live or work? Know a great community group, church, or organization in you area? Let us know who we should connect with in your zip code to recruit survey participants! Sign up by calling 502-852-5228 or emailing Lauren Humpert at [email protected]

  •  Participate in an interview
In addition to surveys, we are conducting semi-structured interviews with community members. These interviews will last about 30 minutes and take place over the phone for your convenience. To sign up, please complete this form or email Lauren Humpert at [email protected]

Louisville Compassion Movement
Louisville has been a leader in the global compassionate cities movement since 2011 when Mayor Greg Fischer and the Louisville Metro Council formally committed the city to the Charter for Compassion. Since then, Louisville has been named a model compassionate city for its programs such as Mayor’s Give-A-Day and the success of Compassionate Louisville, a grassroots network of organizations who have adopted the Compassion Resolution. In 2016, Louisville was named a Model Compassionate City for the 5th year in a row.

Below are some different organizations and initiatives leading the compassion movement in Louisville and around the world.
