2017 Annual Optimal Aging Conference | About

 About the Optimal Aging Conference:

The Institute for Sustainable Health & Optimal Aging is excited to announce its second Optimal Aging Conference! This conference brings together academics, health care & social service professionals, and older adults across a variety of disciplines who are united by a belief that aging is an opportunity, not a disease. The Optimal Aging Conference supports the dissemination of biopsychosocial aging research, age-friendly product innovation, and evidenced-based practice and education models, with participation and input from older adults.

This year's theme "Approaching Aging as a Life-Long Journey" reflects the importance of addressing aging a normal part of living. There is no specific event or time at which we “age” - rather, this theme calls us to view aging as an opportunity to flourish in every stage of life.

The Annual Optimal Aging Conference is sponsored jointly by the UofL Institute for Sustainable Health & Optimal Aging and the Kentucky Association for Gerontology.
